Pre-qualified integration allows OSS planners to take advantage of Sycamore's state-of-the-art capabilities (such as inventory discovery, capacity planning, and performance management) for immediate operational benefits, rather than having to develop these features themselves. Sycamore's pioneering SilvxOSS interface extensions, aligned with emerging industry standards, provide the "transition roadmap" for gradual migration from static optical cross-connect configurations to more efficient management of data-optimized optical networks.
