Support for a mix of GigE, 10 GigE, and SONET/SDH interfaces and user-selectable pluggable optics – from a single Universal Service Card – provides the ultimate deployment flexibility for optical core networks.

Ethernet Packet Intelligence – intelligent policing and packet-to-circuit mapping using Layer 2 label information (VLAN tags, MPLS labels) – ensures efficient and reliable optical Ethernet transport, with support for Metro Ethernet Forum service classes and VCAT, GFP, and LCAS standards.
